A cold front will cross the waters this evening but winds and seas are not expected to be particularly gusty behind it.
High pressure is forecast to be in control through the weekend into early next week when a stronger cold front will cross the region.
This will be a better chance to see conditions hazardous to small craft.
High pressure then builds in behind this front by midweek.
